4621 Montrose Blvd, Houston, TX 77006

Cost: FREE. This will be a cocktail type reception with buffet items and vegetarian options. Drinks will be available for purchase.

Here’s what former student and current HAMFT board member Sam Caplan had to say about her first student reception:

“When I was a new student, attending the New Student Reception gave me the opportunity to network with students who were above me in the program and professionals in the field. It was an extremely beneficial experience that led to me receiving the Warm Hearth Scholarship to present a poster at the 2013 TAMFT Conference. When I attended a board meeting to thank HAMFT for the scholarship, I was asked to join the board while I was still a student. I met my current supervisor and employer through HAMFT, and I received my job offer at the 2014 HAMFT Banquet. I am so thankful for the opportunities I have had, and I look forward to continuing my involvement in HAMFT.”
